This reform proposal has been articulated in the Electoral Reform Commission Report, but has yet to be officially initiated.
Observation

The Election Code of Conduct 2025 (Article 24) allows returning officers to arrange public meetings for candidates to present their manifestos. But during the pre-election consultation between the Election Commission and political parties, some parties showed little interest in adopting or participating in such voter-candidate face-to-face events faclitated bu the Election Commision. It is also mentioned that the feasibility of implementing this proposal is constrained by limited manpower and time of the Election Commission.
