Observation

Under the existing RPO, Article 12(3b)(i) and 12(3b)(i–66) require each candidate to submit, along with their nomination paper, a copy of their income tax return for the latest tax year, as well as proof of submission of that return in accordance with the Income Tax Act, 2023 (Act No. 12 of 2013). This requirement applies only to the most recent tax year, not the past five years as proposed.
