Article 12(3b) of the amended RPO requires that each nomination paper be submitted with an affidavit, along with a copy of the candidate’s latest income tax return, a declaration of the probable sources of the candidate’s income (both domestic and foreign), and a statement of the properties or debts of the candidate and their dependents (both domestic and foreign). The Election Commission has indicated that it plans to publish the affidavits of the final candidates on its website within the shortest span of time.
